dressofheaven | 9th Grail: [Video/Action for Ecruteak]

[Ilya's sitting at a table outside of what looks like the Ecruteak public library, a mug of something in one hand and a book in the other. Behind her, Xion can be seen looking up at something in the sky, though she's a bit out of focus.]

This city really is an amazing place to learn about the legends of the Pokemon world. I should have come here earlier. That story about the phoenix and the three beasts... I thought it was fascinating, until I stumbled upon this.

[She turns the book to the camera, showing off a picture of two certain Pokemon...]

These two are said to control Time and Space itself. That sort of power, in the hands of these two Pokemon! Imagine what they could do if they put their minds to it...

[There's an odd gleam in her eye as she mentions that. Though some people might be distracted by Xion beginning to wave her arms in the air at something offscreen...]

They weren't kidding when they called them Legendary. Does anyone know anyplace else I can find out more about them? I think I'm running out of references to them in Ecruteak... this place is much more interested in the beasts and the birds. Which are intriguing, but-

[Ilya's interrupted as a Dragonite suddenly swoops down and crashes into Xion. She jumps and whirls around, staring for a brief moment as a Garchomp joins in. Fortunately, there aren't any fighting sounds following it...]

Er, Xion, are you alright? [She glances at the gear.] Excuse me a moment everyone, I think I have to go save my traveling partner...

[The gear clicks off.]

[OOC: Responses will come fairly quickly, Xion's Pokemon are just being overly affectionate. Xion and Ilya are both available to respond to this post, though Ilya will be fielding pretty much everything that isn't "are you okay, Xion?"]

I'm fine! I'm just-- Urgh.

[ Xion tries as best as she can to answer, but it's hard when you have two 7' and over dragons bearing down on your body. Bahamut the Garchomp tries to hook his arms around her neck and pull her onto his side with affectionate rumbles. Roxas the Dragonite is trying to curl his arms around her middle and pull onto his side. ]

Roxas is just... Roxas is just excited 'cause he evolve-- Roxas, no, you can't curl around me anymore.

[ Roxas lets out a whine. He's not as lithe and whiplike in body as he was as a Dragonair. Honestly, the only way Xion can be found among the limbs of dragons is the black among the purple and orange. ]

... Sorry. I didn't mean to interrupt your broadcast. [ And yet she still finds a way to worry about others. ]

[With a sigh, Ilya releases her own Garchomp.]

Typhon, help her get free.

[Typhon tilts her head one way, then the other, then hops over to give each of them a quick headbutt to the chin before flouncing off to the left, teasing them to follow her.

Well, that's one way to get them off of Xion...]

And don't worry, I was pretty much done anyway. I just hope someone has something interesting to say.

[ Both Bahamut and Roxas give out roars of surprise and protest before rubbing their chins. Bahamut just flicks his tail from side to side, slightly embarrassed, while Roxas gives a rude snort at Typhon but doesn't go after Xion. The girl herself lets out a sigh of relief before she stretches her a limbs a bit more comfortably. ]

You'd think there'd be more information about Legendaries that can control space and time. Did the texts say where their information originated?

The Sinnoh region. But they were frustratingly vague about everything else.

[Typhon, apparently quite put out that they won't play with her, plops down on a stump and snorts, unimpressed. She didn't even headbutt that hard you big babies.]

And since we can't go to that region, I just have to hope there's something more elsewhere.

[ Bahamut actually flicks his head to one side before plopping down on the ground himself! ... and then slowly shimmying his way towards Typhon. Roxas is looking on in whut. He's - Bahamut - a massive dork, okay? ]

Hmm. Do you think Dialga and Palkia created themselves? If they had such powers...

[Typhon just... kind of stares at him for a couple moments before snorting and turning away. What are you even doing, bro.]

Possibly... I definitely can't think of what else could be involved. I mean, what could create beings that control time and space?

[ He's giving her gentle pokes with one of his claws. Poke, poke. Curious rumbling. ]

Maybe... something that thought the world needed those two concepts in place?

[She sits there for a couple pokes, then suddenly leaps off the stump and lands several feet away, turning over her shoulder to grin at him. Come on, chase her!]

Would there really have been a world at all without them? What sort of world would that even be like?

[ Is it a game? He likes playing games! Bahamut rises from the ground and gives chase while Roxas lets out a snort. He turns his head to Xion and Illya. ]

It'd be really... chaotic, wouldn't it? Time isn't there, space doesn't give a proper form - it'd be a mess.

[Now you're getting it! She jumps and weaves back and forth, calling back behind her to egg him on. Come on, play with her!]

I don't think we'd even be able to understand what was happening around us... well, not that we could survive in a world like that. I don't know what could.

[ Playing time commences! ]

At the very least, the text implies there's something keeping everything together. Maybe if more regions opened up...

You think there's some sort of... of Pokemon Creator?

[Little do they know how close they are.]

Hmm... Maybe? I mean, there has to be a beginning for everything, right?

[ Hits the mark! ]

I guess so. But then, what is it, and what is it called? And why can't we find any legends about it?

[Because Arceus is mysterious.]

[ She shakes her head and shrugs, a non-verbal "I don't know." ]

It could be that Johto and Kanto have enough legends as is. That information could be in another region.

Then I want to go to another region. Or at least find something from there. Back in my world there were places with huge libraries that had books from all over the world. If there were just someplace like that here...

[She sighs, frustrated, and folds her arms, practically pouting.]

But there's not. I almost wish I was more interested in the beasts and the birds just so I could be satisfied with what I can find here.

You haven't visited Kanto, have you?

Well, no. But I haven't heard anything about a great library there, either. Is there one?

I'm not sure. The last time I was there, I was with Riku and Ventus - with Riku getting the badges. Maybe once we're done collecting the badges here, would you want to go?

Of course! Once we're done exploring Johto I've always planned to move on to Kanto next. I won't be happy until I've seen all I can of this world.

[ She gives a small smile at her enthusiasm at that. ]

Alright. I'll be happy to show you around when we get there. I do remember some things from my previous journey there.

I'll look forward to it! It'll probably be a while though, given how we've been traveling.

Not that I have any problems with that.
