So. I'm looking at this map for my next destination, and I have two questions.

One. Is it really necessary to go through Mount Mortar in order to reach Mahogany Town? That sounds like a truly unpleasant hassle.

Two. Once we actually reach Mahogany, what's there to do there aside from challenge the gym? Should we be looking into just moving on right after or is there a reason to stay?

[Because honestly if it weren't for the Safari Zone she'd have seriously regretted staying in Cianwood this long.]

And speaking of travel... Kairi, Riku, Sora, we'll be leaving for Goldenrod this afternoon, though we won't be staying there long. On a related topic, congratulations on your Storm Badge, Joker.

Well, as it happens, I'm being told you can surf across the small lakes in front of it, or fly if you have a good map. So luck is on our side it seems.

You should be able to buy a decent map in Goldenrod, if not before. I got mine at the Department Store. You can get most anything there.

Made it all the way to Goldenrod and I've been staying here for the past month. With the whether getting warmer, living next to the ocean is really nice.

It is, very much. Cianwood and Olivine are even better for that, being built onto the coast as they are. Of course you'd have to travel quite a bit to get to either city at the moment.

They're across the ocean then, I'm guessing?

Cianwood is. Olivine's right to the north of it. It's a lovely city, probably my favorite of the region, though I haven't seen Mahogany or Blackthorn yet.

I plan on checking out every town anyways so I'll eventually get around to seeing it.

Just don't get trapped in Goldenrod. That's a fairly common problem, I hear.

Oh dear. What has you stuck there? Are you training to beat Whitney?

No. My team's too weak for that. I just really like the place.

Oh. Well, I suppose that doesn't really count as being stuck there, per se. I would have gone screamingly bored in a few more weeks at most, personally. But then I spent quite a lot of time there.

I know a few people who're still in Goldenrod as well so they keep me from getting bored.

Well that's lucky for you. Granted, I'm with a few people in my travel group but none of us really tend to want to stay in one place. I think Kairi would throw a fit if I tried to settle down somewhere. Not that I'd want to.

Understandable. I travel by myself most of the time. Never thought I'd do this much traveling on foot before.

How do you usually travel? Car?

Well, that certainly isn't standard. Were you rich? Or was it part of your job?

A bit of both. It was generally the latter though.
