Hmmm... so, is there any real reason to go through that cave south of Violet except for it being the fastest way to Azalea? I have to admit, there don't seem to be any Pokemon I'd want in there, and I don't really like the idea of it being my next destination now that I've gotten the badge from Falkner. He was really nice, too, we talked about myths together for a bit after the fight. It sounds like I need to get to Ecruteak sooner or later.

But I'm getting off track. Really, do you have to go to that cave? Would there be any trouble just going back to Goldenrod, then through the forest instead? Forests are a lot better than caves. Or would you miss something important that way?

I should talk to Ahri about it... Oh, before I go, Berserker has something to share with you all.

[Her expression turns from a thoughtful frown into a huge grin as she turns the gear to face her newly-evolved Rhydon.]

It would take longer, but it may be the easier route. Seems like I need to get myself a flying type.

I'm still on stealing duty. I shouldn't have shown off how easy it is for me to go unsuspected, they might have given me different job if I had.

[She looks more annoyed by the whole thing than anything else.]

Well, you could always just capture some random pokemon and send it to them and when we check in, you could ask for another assignment.

[Ahri thinks about it for a moment.]

How about selling those candy bars? Honestly, do you think anyone could resist you?

Don't you have to go up to Mahogany Town to do that? I mean, I definitely could sell them if there were people around, but it's hard to do while we're traveling... I wish there was a job that worked well with being on the move.

I'm pretty sure you can get the mission from the HQ in Goldenrod, too. It's not like delivering them there would be an issue.

Just sell them to trainers you come across. On the road, they and their pokemon are bound to be hungry. You might even be able to hike up the price a bit.

Hmmm, that's true. Especially after a long day of battling to work up an appetite... if I just carry around one case of the things it shouldn't be too big a hassle. They might even feel grateful to me for it.

So, I guess we go back to Goldenrod then... but let's look at the Ruins nearby first, okay? I think there are some Pokemon there that I want.

He is very impressive, isn't he? Falkner thought he had me when his Noctowl put him to sleep, but Berserker wouldn't go down that easy.

[She rubs his horn with pride, beaming.]

I don't know where you can find them in the wild, though. He was my starter.

But there's gotta be more of those rhino guys hiding around here somewhere... And if they've got as much guts as yours, then they'll be just the kinda muscle I need.

[She glows under the praise, even if its for Berserker rather than herself. She is his trainer, after all, he has to owe at least some of his strength (and most of his attitude) to her.]

Well, they're probably hard to find and catch, but... maybe if I could find him a nice girl, I could do some breeding.

[She chuckles.] He's grown so much since then, hasn't he? It won't be long before stopping his charge becomes a lot less easy.

Bwa ha ha! Well, if ya do end up with eggs, consider me your first customer.

[And oh, he can relate to that whole charging notion big time.]

I wonder who's the bigger bulldozer outta him and Smasher. Maybe one of these days they should have a rematch.

When he's at the height of his power, and all the way evolved, I'd be happy to let him loose around her. I'd love to see how that turns out.

[Bereserker'd still be on the wrong side of a type disadvantage, but you'd be surprised what Solid Rock can do for that.]

They say his first form can charge hard enough to knock down buildings. I wonder what the strongest one can do...

Maybe it can bulldoze mountains! That's what that 'Dex thing says Tremor can do.

[Cue some evil laughter. Oh man, Tyranitars are awesome!]

Ooooo, now that would be fun! Smash your way through a mountain and watch as all the Pokemon who lived there go wild. I wouldn't want to live in one of the nearby towns when that happens.

It'd be the perfect way to earn some respect, too! Smash something as huge, awesome, and foreboding as a mountain, and they'll know better than to get on your bad side.

I should do that sometime!
