16th Grail: [Video]

Costume tip for all you newcomers to Halloween out there, and perhaps a few old hands at that. Before you put on your costume for the first time, make absolutely certain your hair isn't going to cause any problems.

[Ilya is lying back in a salon chair, eyes closed, not actually looking at the screen. Whoever's doing her hair isn't in focus so all that can be seen is hands, but she seems to be fully enjoying the attention to her scalp.]

It probably doesn't sound like that big of a deal, but you'd be surprised how many costumes can be ruined by uncooperative hair. [Her eyes crack open just enough for her to frown at the gear.] Especially if certain pokemon keep insisting on putting it in their mouths.

[But her annoyance can't last long with such a relaxing atmosphere, and after a moment she closes her eyes and relaxes again, humming a bit to herself.] Once I get done with this, I'll be heading down to Goldenrod, but that's only relevant to circus members and the people I live with... Kairi, if you still want to go with me you'd best be getting ready. For the rest of you, be careful in the haunted house... a few of mine are very eager to meet you.

[She chuckles merrily and gestures to her Pokemon to cut the feed.]

Of course, to both questions. I need my hair in perfect condition for my costume this year, so I can't afford to scrimp.

Not that I ever let it get into poor condition to begin with. I'm quite proud of my hair.

[Since she inherited it from her beloved mother and all.]

I shouldn't be gone much longer. Best start packing.

Oh indeed. I'm going as a banshee this year. I've already perfected my tormented wailing.

[Kairi may have heard some truly terrifying sounds coming from the forest off and on this past month...]

[She'd make a joke about that, but she'd rather not get on Ilya's shit list when they're about to head into a haunted house.]

The girls and I are still trying to figure ours out.

I could probably find the three of you maid outfits... put on some pale makeup and you could be my undead ladies-in-waiting.

I was thinking we could go as Heartless. I think I saw some contacts that give you glow-y yellow eyes.

If it were me, I'd also make sure the local ghosts aren't in a playful mood. Especially this time of year.

But I'll note the hair thing, in case Rose gets any ideas...

Well Orpheus is unlikely to stop trying to spook me during this time of year, but I've come to accept it. It is the month of All Hallow's Eve after all.

...Haa, that sounds like a pain. Does he at least keep it mostly reasonable? Harmless jump scares and stuff?

Oh it's not like he'd ever actually hurt anyone. I mean, outside of a battle, of course. And even then he's really more defensive in nature.

Yes, me as well. My ghosts are alright, but some of the ones the people who I live with have...

Oh I think so too. Things are going to be very interesting this year, with that haunted house idea.
