Typhon!

[Ilya seems to have something attached to her hair. Something large, blue, and very round.

Oh, it's a (slightly oversized) Gible.

... Come again?]

Let go of my hair! Typhon, I'm ordering you as your trainer!

[The Gible stares up at her in response for a few moments...

Then chews slightly. Ilya's eyebrow twitches at that, and she jerks on her hair, trying to yank it out, but to no avail. There's a soft, eerie chuckle from behind the gear's camera.]

You could help, Orpheus! Gaaaah! Typhon, do you want me to get Berserker out here?

[No response except for more chewing. Ilya looks very fed up with this nonsense and turns to the gear.]

Does anyone know how to make these things let go? If I'd known this is what I was going to get I'd have asked Saber for a different egg...

[Oh dear. Perhaps the Pokemon Whisperer can help - she who can understand Pokemon. She clears her throat before calling out, in her own quiet way.]

Ty-typhon, why are you doing that?

[Misaki was hesitating on helping out the girl as she was still kind of irritated about the other day but after raising a huge biter like Wani, she can't simply ignore the problem.]

Maybe try offering something else for it to bite? That of cutting off a lock of your hair so it can just chew that.

[Ilya just kind of... stares at the screen in disbelief, while Typhon responds by gazing blankly at Fluttershy for a few moments, then making several muffled sounds that are halfway between growls and squeaks.]

Mfftrfff hrrrr tffftf gnnnd. Lmmmee lnnn.

... Did you understand that? [She's heard of stranger things...]

She's going to get a lock of it either way at this rate...

[She's stopped pulling or trying to walk away, and instead is kneeling down next to the Gible, staring at it in contemplation. Even with Ilya's small size, the thing does look pretty large for its species.]

If I get you a chew toy, will you let go?

[Typhon stares at her for a couple moments...

And then proceeds to jump at her midsection.]

Wait Typhon- arrrrgh!

[Ilya is plowed right over.]

Well... some of it. His mouth is full, so it's not that easy... But I think something about... 'Let me in'...

I noticed. [There's a touch of irritation in her tone, but she's glowering at her Pokemon rather than Fluttershy.

The Gible, deciding that being understood is more important than chewing on her trainer's hair, lets go and repeats herself.]

I said, mistress's hair tastes good. Leave me alone.

I think that's a yes.

[That looks like it might've hurt, judging by the size of that Gible.]

You alright there?

Ugh... Typhon, what are you-

[She's interrupted by a lick to the face.]

Hey! Typhon- [lick stop it! [another lick] That tickles!

[She starts helplessly giggling as the Gible continues to lick her face.]

Oh, there we go... and... oh, dear.

[She frowns, and then tsks.]

Young dragon, you are being very disrespectful to your trainer. How would you like it if some one started chewing on you?

But I'm not chewing where it hurts.

I save that for other people.

[Typhon bares her teeth at Fluttershy while Ilya hurriedly stuffs as much of her hair as she can under her winter hat. Which is far from all of it, given how long her hair is, but she does her best.]

What is she saying?

It seems Typhon feels justified in chewing your hair because it doesn't hurt. And enjoys causing pain in others. Which isn't nice at all.

[She shakes her head in disapproval.]

Don't you care about your trainer's feelings?

[Ilya could care less if her Pokemon are nice, but Typhon's explanation makes her roll her eyes.]

It would hurt if I tried to go anywhere! Typhon-

[She's interrupted by the Gible's growled objections to Fluttershy's statement though.]

Mistress doesn't mind if I hurt other people! I'm supposed to grow up to be a big strong fighter anyway. And Orpheus always goes around scaring everyone, and Berserker's a lot meaner than I am.

[Typhon sounds positively whiny trying to justify her actions.]

...That looks like a yes too. [She can't help but make a smirk at this situation.]

[Her eyes darted offscreen where her Deino was, happily chewing on the remains of her Espeon doll.] Why don't you do stuff like that?

[Orochi made an annoyed roar in response, reminding Misaki it was, I don't know, blind? Misaki just kept watching the moment for any other response.]

[Finally managing to push her off, Ilya's found that Typhon seems also fond of licking her hand... and entire arm.]

... Do you just think I taste good or something?

[The Gible pauses mid-lick... and promptly bobs her head up and down rapidly. Ilya sighs.]

I'm not a treat, Typhon.

[She actually ignores Ilya in favor of talking to Typhon.]

So just because others get to be surly and nasty, that gives you the right to be the same? You should have more pride in yourself than that. You can be a lot better than that. If you treat your mistress this way so much, she won't like you, and then it won't matter how strong you are.

But Mistress wants us to be in- inta... scary! She's said before that her favorite Pokemon are the kind everyone else is afraid of!

[That's... that's not what she meant, Typhon.]

... Who did she call surly and nasty?

But what happens if your mistress becomes afraid of you? What if she never lets you out, because you keep eating her hair?

[Typhon just laughs at that, apparently finding Fluttershy's question incredibly amusing.]

You're really silly! Mistress isn't afraid of anything!

... Are you listening to me?

[She shouldn't be finding this situation adorable...but she is.]

Should probably be careful it doesn't try to eat you when you aren't looking.

Everypony is afraid of something. But you still didn't answer my question. If you keep up this bad habit, she might not let you as much. Would you want to be around somep- I mean somebody if all they did was bother you, even when you told them to stop it?

[Sorry Ilya, Pokemon priorities.]

[Well, Fluttershy does have a point there. The Gible pauses, knowing full well what her answer is... and what Ilya's probably is, too.]

But she tastes so good...

[Ilya's eyebrow twitches a bit at being ignored, but she tries to just pay attention to the side of the conversation she can understand. She'll ask for clarification later.]

What's more important - being with your mistress, or eating her hair?

No, when she hatched the first thing she did was bite one of my fingers, but she let go when I said ouch. So now she knows biting me hurts me.

[She sighs and pulls herself to her feet, dangling her hand to let Typhon keep licking her fingers.]

She'll probably just start chewing on my hair again if I ignore her.

That... that... that's not fair!

[If Gibles could pout, this one would be doing a fabulous job of it.]

Life isn't always fair. Now, you should apologize to her.
