[There is a young girl in Team attire wandering the halls.

Ilya was getting bored sitting and waiting for someone to come get her, and she doesn't yet understand how to use the gear, so instead she's decided to poke her head out and find out about this place firsthand. She doesn't seem to have any real idea where she's going, or what most of the things she's surrounded by are, so she could probably be found anywhere, and she's distracted enough that other team members will probably notice her before she notices them.

That, however, is not true of the Duskull that just popped out in front of her, right in the face of anyone looking at her. Red eyes staring at them, it lets out a spooky wail.

She turns to follow the sound and beams, uncaring of how discomfited the other member may or may not be.]

Good work, Orpheus, you found someone!

[Late in the afternoon in Goldenrod city, there is the sound of something pounding on the pavement.

Is it a swarm of pokemon in the city? A new rocket plot? Another angry legendary?

Nope, it's just a young girl-]

Faster, Berserker, Faster!

[Riding through town on the back of her Rhyhorn.

People dive out of the way of the galloping rock-type, but Ilya doesn't seem to care in the slightest. She throws back her head and laughs gleefully, not even paying attention to anything but the rush of her ride.

... Someone might want to try and stop her before she smashes something.]

That's the best plan. It's worked for me at least.

Orpheus is a bit hard to keep track of though.

[Speaking of which, there's a ghost hovering right behind your head, Ren.

And now it is making a weird squealy noise.]

[That startles him more than the previous encounter with the ghost did - as much as he hates to admit it. He turns around quickly to look. He might have also yelped.]

Ghosts... are a bit difficult like that.

[She can't help but giggle a little bit at his startlement.

Not, mind you, that she tries very hard.]

I think he's training his sneaking skills.

Well it's... definitely working. [Though why do you have to practice on him. At this rate he'll start fearing ghosts.]

What was your second Pokémon?

Berserker? He's too big to let out inside, but he's an enormous rhinoceros made out of rock.

A Rhyhorn, then. [Such interesting choices for a girl like her.] I'm sure both of them will be good company.

They already are! [Judging by her smile, she's far from displeased about the choices in question.]

That's good to hear. I'm glad. [Have a smile.]

Which ones do you have?

[Have an inquisitive expression in return.]

I started with a Blitzle, a lightning zebra and a Houndour, a fire-dark dog. After that I've collected several.

Fire-dark dog? That sounds interesting.

[Does it have three heads? She wants a Cerberus.]

[Ren lets out his Houndoom to show what they look like.]

She's evolved, but the first form does look rather similar.

[She stares at the not-quite-Cerberus with glee in her eyes. Yeah it doesn't have the spiked tail or three heads but it's still a decent hellhound.]

She looks amazing. Would she mind...? [She holds out a hand, not quite sure if she should try petting.]

Not at all. She likes pets.

[And Ilya happily begins to scratch her behind the horns.]

You said you started with her, right? Do you know where you'd find others like her?

I've noticed some breeders sometimes have eggs of the species... the Breeding Center might have them as well. I can't unfortunately remember if you can meet them in the wild.

How do you get the breeders to part with them? Just buy the eggs, like with pets?

[She's never been to a pet shop before, so the idea intrigues her.]

They usually want to give them away. Especially if there's over ten of them.

Then it's really easy to get them! Why do people even bother going out to catch them, then?

Some people enjoy the feeling of actually going out there and catching them, I guess. Though there are situations when the Pokémon you want isn't available with any breeders.

I guess that makes sense. I'd better start trying to figure out which ones I want then.

That usually helps, yes. The Pokedex is a rather useful way to find interesting species.

What's the best way to search it? Like I said, technology isn't my strong suit.

I can give you a small tutorial if you'd like. It's better to show how it works than explain it, in my opinion.
